Jon Dahl Tomasson: Stoke deserved to win

The Blackburn manager expresses his disappointment at the outcome. With every away game in this league, we were aware that this one would be challenging. We started the game well and had two opportunities in the first ten minutes, but our first half cost us the game.

“I think the second half was more in line with who we are and should be, but in the end, they deserved to win it, so we should be unhappy, but our players showed good spirit coming back, and they’ve done an excellent job in 2023,” the coach said. We have only lost two games thus far.

“We brought a lot for a chilly Friday night at Stoke, so I feel bad for our fans, but that’s part of the game,”
