With 20 appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s countryman London club in the Premier League, Havertz has made the most appearances. Havertz World Class Touch And Finish
The 22-year-old was employed as an offensive midfielder in the first seven of those appearances, with Romelu Lukaku acting as the only striker.

Tuchel has chosen to employ the former Bayer Leverkusen player in a more advanced position, taking up the striking role in a 3-4-2-1 formation, though, as a result of Lukaku’s recent slump in form.
Havertz has started just 57% of his team’s league games and played just 52% of the minutes due to Tuchel’s incredible depth in his squad.
One Year Ago Today: Havertz World Class Touch And Finish
64 goals scored in two seasons by the Serie A champions Lukaku returned to Chelsea after being loaned out to Inter Milan, and he featured in the first seven league games he was eligible for before sustaining a sprain.
He was out for four games and has made fewer appearances thereafter. But, compared to Havertz, the 28-year-old has only made one fewer appearance. He has played 48% of the minutes to thus point, having started 43% of the games.
Naturally, Lukaku has always played as a central striker throughout his games. Werner, who is two years younger than Lukaku, won a lucrative transfer to Chelsea after excelling in the Bundesliga for both Red Bull Leipzig and later, his hometown club Stuttgart.
Werner has played 14 league games this year, however he has only started 29% of Chelsea’s contests. As a result, in addition to playing up front, he has also had to fill in on the left and right. Two of the eight games he has started have, however, been the recent triumphs over Norwich and Newcastle.
Goals and Assists
Werner only has one league goal and one assist in the Premier League, both of which came against Southampton. After scoring three goals in four games, including a brace against Zenit, Werner now has a better record in the Champions League. In addition, he scored one goal in the Carabao Cup and had two goals and two assists in the FA Cup.
Although Lukaku has five league goals, three of them came in his first three games, and his current goal drought in the league is six games.
The FA Cup, Champions League, and Club World Cup each saw two goals added by Belgium’s all-time best scorer, bringing his season total to 11 goals. After his late touch and finish against Newcastle, Havertz also reached 11 goals.
Two of those came in the Champions League, two in the Carabao Cup, and one in the Club World Cup, while the other four came in the Premier League. He has contributed to three league goals and one FA Cup goal.
